Jul 09, 2021
Guest Speaker, Lusia Efriani Kiroyan, a coconut-shell charcoal entrepreneur in Batam, will be sharing her path to become a social entrepreneur to get herself out of the pain of a divorce where she lost custody of her children and property to her ex-husband. She set up Cinderella From Indonesia Center in Batam, a half-way house or shelter and learning centre for single mothers, street children and female ex-prisoners to acquire skills that they can use to set up their own businesses and be financially independent.

PP Eric will also talk about the various strategies the Club is putting in place to make active membership a fulfilling experience. His talk will wrap up with 3 Rotarians sharing briefly how being in Rotary has made life more meaningful, and how they have been blessed in giving their time and sharing their resources. You want to guess who? This is a good session to invite someone you’ve been talking to about joining our club, and who is considering your invitation |

Rosemary Phan, along with Daryl Lim, are people involved in bringing to Singapore the Design Thinking Conference in 2022, an international conference attended by hundreds of business owners and executives, thought leaders and various professions, that was only recently staged in Amsterdam. The object of this “travelling international conference” is to discuss ways to humanize the work environments and create an ecosystem that leads people in influential positions to “be more human”. They will share with us how our work place can be redesigned to be more human. It’s not the physical design they’ll be talking about; it’s the work culture and the way of communication. Come listen to how we are already there, or not quite there yet. Join Zoom Meeting Meeting ID: 873 2353 3362
